Elizabeth "Betty" Haste Cooke Hansen, 82, of Little Rock passed away June 13, 2016. Betty was born in Dumas on September 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late, Dr. Robert Samuel Cooke and Martha Haste Cooke. Betty graduated Valedictorian from Dumas High School class of 1951 and was a member of the DHS basketball team. Her parents and her brother, Robert Cooke Jr. and her sister, Waldene Whitelaw all preceded Betty in death. Betty graduated Magna Cum Laude and received her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from University of Mississippi "Ole Miss". She was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock. Betty retired during the 80's after employment with the IRS as an accountant for 25 years. Betty was an avid bridge player and Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League achieved in 1976. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors are her husband, James L. Hansen of Little Rock, Arkansas and one daughter, Lisa Hansen House and husband, John of Little Rock, Arkansas and her three grandchildren, Mark Springer, Sarah House and John House Jr., and one great-grandson, Ethan House.
