Jackie Stacy

Photo of Jackie Stacy
Jackie Stacy, also known by many as Papa Bear, 60, of Little Rock, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was a cancer survivor of 13 years. Jackie was at peace when he was taken from those who love him after fighting an acute illness for 17 long days, with miracles happening daily. Jackie was born in Little Rock to George and Velma Stacy on August 27, 1955. Jackie was preceded in death by his father, sister Wanda, and Wayne Oliver Sr. He is survived by Angela, his wife/companion of 40 years, son Jackie (Jay), his brothers, Roger and Jerry Stacy and Wayne Oliver, Jr., sister Vicki Honeycutt (Jay), and a host of nieces and nephews. A self-employed painter/handy man, Jackie will be remembered by his many friends and family as a kind, fun loving, happy-go-lucky guy! His hobbies included working on computers, fixing motors, watches, rosaries, etc. He was actually a "jack-of-all trades." The family would like to extend our utmost gratitude to Drs. Lyons, An, Hulett, and Kimball and the nursing staff in CVICU for their outstanding care, dedication, and support during this very difficult time. A special thanks to Kristie Brockette, niece, and Bev Chidester, sister-in-law, for their daily support and contribution in his care and communication with family and friends regarding his condition. Visitation will be Monday, June 20, at 12:30 p.m., followed by Memorial Service by Father L. Warren Harvey at 1:30 p.m., at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72204. To sign the online guestbook, go to www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
