Kennith Duane Blount, age 60, of Pea Ridge, passed away June 6, 2016, at his home. He was born in La Habra, Calif., on Feb. 8, 1956, to the late Billy and Jackie (Wright) Blount. Kenny was retired from Whirlpool where he was a forklift operator. He was a past president of the Arkansas Umpire Association, and was umpire and coach for softball leagues, having led the Diamond Girls to two state championships. He was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale. Survivors include his wife, Kathy, of the home; children, April Blount of Pineville, Mo., Robin Blount of Cameron, Okla., Derek Blount of Bentonville; sisters, Debbie Jones, Kathy Owens, Kathy Johnson; five grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He is also survived by step sisters Dorothea Salomito, Trisha Cidebottom, Glenda Hale; and step-brother, Donald Mongold. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Heart Association.
