Barbara (Moorhead) Kladstrup Hostetler

Barbara (Moorhead) Kladstrup Hostetler, 90, died Saturday, June 18, 2016, in Bentonville, Arkansas. Barbara was born on August 12, 1925, in Moorhead, Iowa. She attended Morningside College and graduated from the University of Iowa. In 1947, Barbara married Arlo (Pete) Kladstrup. They lived in Sioux City, Iowa, where Barbara was a children's librarian for the public school system. In 1985, Barbara and Pete retired to Bella Vista, Arkansas, where Pete died in 1995. In 2003, Barbara married Raymond Hostetler. She volunteered for many organizations, including her church, the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, and the Bella Vista Library. She was a member of PEO and a wonderful friend to many in the community. She also found time to travel, visiting 6 continents and all 50 states, and spending summers in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. She is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Kathy Kladstrup (Bruce Becker) of Mendota Heights, Minnesota; Susan Kladstrup (Ric Shimshock) of Sunnyvale, California, and Kristin Kladstrup (Rob Scudder) of Watertown, Massachusetts; six grandchildren; and three step-daughters and their families. She is preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary and survived by her brother, John of Moorhead, Iowa. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 23, at 1 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Boulevard.
