Kay Lynn Luplow

Kay Lynn Luplow, age 78, of Little Rock, Ark. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2016. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Born Kay Lynn Keese, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Keese, her brother Phillip, her Memaw and her Aunt Eloise. Kay was a Yellow Jacket at Little Rock High School when she graduated in 1955. She won the title of Miss Little Rock in 1957 and attended Little Rock Junior College and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she was a very proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She worked as a medical technologist at Baptist Health where she was a registered ASCP for over 35 years and where she had the honor of being selected to be a part of Baptist's first bone marrow transplant team. Kay joined St. Paul United Methodist Church in 1968 and was a member of the choir, as well as an integral part creating all the existing stained-glass windows surrounding the sanctuary. During her freshman year of college, 1957, she met her husband Bill Luplow, and on June 8, 2016, they celebrated 58 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband, Bill, two children, Britt (Wendy), Lynn (Keith), her 5 grandchildren, Lance, Katelyn, William Parker, Elle and Jenna and her two great-grandchildren, Ava and Landon. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. Visitation will be at Ruebel Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. A memorial service will be at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2223 Durwood, Little Rock, Ark. on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Kay's name to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 or St. Paul United Methodist Church.
