Sharon L. Miller Eichenberger

Sharon L. Miller Eichenberger, 79 of Magnolia, Ark. formerly of Eureka, IL passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Ark. Sharon was born on March 29, 1937 in Peoria, Ill. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She taught high school English and was a lifelong educator. She retired as the Director of Southern Arkansas University Foundation in Magnolia, Ark. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, James Ross and Charlotte (Jordan) Miller and brother-in-law, Ray Geiger. She is survived by her husband, Rudolph J. Eichenberger of Magnolia, Ark.; sisters, Linda Geiger of Naples, Fla. and Patty Smith and husband William of Peoria, Ill.; brother James Miller and wife Sonny of Burr Ridge, Ill.; three nephews; one niece; and special friends Dr. Dan Dykema of Magnolia, Ark. and Mrs. Bonnie Flurry and husband Charles of Magnolia, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia with Rev. Raymond Cammack officiating. Interment will be held at the American Mausoleum in Peoria, Ill. Honorary pallbearers will be William Smith, David Smith, Darren Smith, Bob Eichenberger, Arnie Eichenberger, and Dan Eichenberger. The family gives a special thank you to Dr. James Chambliss, Dr. Ked Davis and staff; Dr. Donna Zahniser and staff; and the staff at the John R. Williamson Hospice House for their care and support.
