JB Turner, age 88, of Jacksonville, passed away, Saturday, February 27, 2016. He was born on June 4, 1927, in Tinsman, Arkansas, to Horace and Bessie Green Turner. JB was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be missed greatly. JB was a veteran of the United States Army and a World War II Veteran. He was a member of Bayou Meto Baptist Church in Jacksonville and was a Thirty Second Degree Mason. JB was a Union sheet metal worker for Ketcher & Company of North Little Rock. JB was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Mary Elease Johnson and Inice Johnson. JB is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Clydine Townsend Turner; son, Richard (Connie) Turner of Jacksonville; daughter, Tammy Turner Seldess, of Milton, Georgia; grandchildren, Lance (Laura) Turner, Sarah (Ward) Smith, and Ethan Seldess; great-grandchildren, Lane Smith, Londyn Smith, and Elizabeth Turner; brother-in-law, Calvert H. Johnson; two nieces, Laura Swick and Nancy Adkins; and a host of cousins friends, and church family. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Bayou Meto Baptist Church, 26200 Hwy 107, Jacksonville, Ark. with burial on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 12 noon at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
