Katherine Love Truax

Katherine Love Truax, age 87, of Gillett died February 27, 2016. She was born August 16, 1928 in Shongaloo, LA to Ira Allen and Ida Tyree Love who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Billy Don Truax and sister, Oleta Truax. For over 70 years she was an active member of Gillett United Methodist church, serving on many committees, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school. Survivors include her children: William Allen Truax (Sandra) of Norfork, Susan King (Roger) and David Truax (Sharon) all of Gillett; a sister, Carolyn Flowers of Nederland, Texas; grandchildren: Brian Reed (Sheri), Billy Truax, Brandon Truax, Chad Lambert (Karen), Lyn King (Amy), David Lambert, Ashley Blalock; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 2nd, at Gillett United Methodist Church with burial at Gillett Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home, DeWitt.
