Dennis G. Pharr

Dennis G. Pharr, 70, of Siloam Springs, Ark. passed away March 4, 2016 at his home in Siloam Springs. He was born in Tacoma Washington on May 12, 1945 the son of the late Mack G and Imogene Pharr. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Mark Evans Pharr and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Doris Ann Pharr of Siloam Springs, Ark.; three sons Mark A. Pharr and wife Debbie of North Little Rock, Ark., Mack Pharr and wife Melinda of Conway, Ark., Charles Brian Choate and wife Andria Garbiso of Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Mischelle Berrier and husband Don of Illinois, and Sharon Soares and husband Scott of Independence, Mo.; and his sister Diane Harden of Little Rock, Ark. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, two nieces and their children. He was an active member of New Life Church in Siloam Springs, Ark. Dennis moved to Little Rock from Mountain Home, Ark. in the mid sixties after his high school graduation. He graduated from University of Arkansas Little Rock with his Bachelors in Accounting. He always said "That you could take the boy out of the mountains, but you could not take the mountains out of the boy." He was an accountant for the last 45 years with various government, CPA firms and business entities. He was a member of the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, Ark. Graveside funeral services will be held 2 pm Monday March 7, 2016, at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, Ark. with Pastor Tim Estes and Tom Russell officiating.
