He served Jesus through his clown role of Harold at Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville for several years. Mike also served in Vietnam for two years with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Forrestal. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother, Doris Norris. He is survived by Glenda, his wife of 48 years; daughter, Michelle (Richard) Turner of Beebe; son, Jeff (Jennifer) of Eagle River, Alaska; sisters, Donna DePaola, Charlotte Norris, Mary Hoffman, Debbie Grigg, and Connie Brockett; brothers, Jimmy, Larry, and Raymond Norris all of Illinois; grandchildren, Zack, Brianna, and Lauren Norris of Eagle River, Alaska, and Keith and Katie Turner of Beebe. Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 12th at 10 a.m. at the church, with interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Memorials contributions may be made to the ALS Association of Arkansas, or the scholarship fund of Camp Barnabas, P.O. Box 3200, Springfield, Mo. 65808, a camp for people with special needs or chronic diseases, and a place Mike loved. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816.
