Mrs. Valerie Simkovits Booles Klipsch passed away, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Klipsch was born in Vienna, Austria, she immigrated to the United States in 1946 as a war bride. Valerie was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Paul W. Klipsch; her son, Raymond Booles; her parents; and five brothers. Valerie is survived by two grandchildren, Lee Booles of Benton, Ark., Shannon Booles and wife Deb Booles of Cabot, Ark.; three great-grandchildren, Robby, Paul, and Claire Booles. She has many friends in the music world and students who carry on her legacy in education. Valerie was a member of the St. Mark's Episcopal Church, organist for the Eastern Star and Rotary. Valerie was educated in Vienna, Austria's Academy of Music. She was a concert pianist and teacher. She was appointed by the State of Arkansas as a psychologist for the Head-Start program, and worked with them for several years. She taught French, German and music in public school for 25 years. Valerie and Paul sponsored endowments, profforships and scholarships in several colleges and institutes of higher education. Valerie considered her life with Paul and her work with The Paul W. Klipsch Legacy as her greatest pleasure and most worthwhile endeavor. She has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Paul W. Klipsch Memorial Garden in Hope, % Robert Wyatt 325 Hempstead 151 Hope, Ark. 71801. She wished to extend her thanks to Robert Wyatt for his everlasting loyalty; and caregivers, Deborah Hunt and Measha Pearson, for their devotion and the unforgettable friendship and love of Nancy and Darrell Smith.
