A.O. Pete Evans

A.O. (Pete) Evans, age 85, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016. He was born February 20, 1931 to Ruthie Ashcraft Evans of Morrilton. He was currently living in Sherwood. Pete was a Korean War Veteran, a veteran of the Little Rock Police Department for 20 years where he retired after 18 years with the Alcohol Beverage Control where he worked in the Enforcement Division as an agent. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elouise Evans of Sherwood; two daughters, Debbie (Ron) Kindy of Covington, Texas and Terri Anditon of Searcy, Arkansas; son, Jimmy Evans of Benton; siblings, Betty Jo Hall of La Jolla, California, Rich Evans of Oregon, Jim Evans of Kansas, James Evans of Kansas, Claud Evans of Kansas, Fran Berry of Oklahoma, Angie Carson of Kansas, Joyce Perry of Missouri, Ramona Thrash of Oklahoma, Vel Rains of Illinois, and Tesa Carmichael of Colorado; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at Harris Chapel with Dr. Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be at Wolf Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
