Louise W. "Lou" Baker died Thursday, April 28, surrounded by family at Dallas County Medical Center. Lou was born August 21, 1930, near Rolla, Hot Spring County to Noel and Thelma Walker. She was predeceased by husband, Maurice E. Baker; father, Noel Walker; mother, Thelma Jordan; step-father D.H. Jordan; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Shirley Walker. Lou is survived by sons David E. Baker (Lynn) of Conway and Robert L. "Bobby" Baker (Kayren) of Little Rock, three grandchildren: Jason (Sherrill), Christopher, Mallory; three great-grandchildren: Hannah, Luke, Bria. Lou, a member of the 600 Club, bowled in Pine Bluff and Camden leagues over 40 years. She was a talented cook, who learned from her grandmother on a wood stove. Known for her pies, cakes and rolls, in reality everything was her specialty, and she delighted in hosting bridal teas. Lou served on the Camden Housing Authority board and United Way. She was a friend of Bill W. for 38 years, representing her group at Conventions. Lou sponsored many people in the organization and was an inspiration for others. A Life Celebration will be 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 8 at First United Methodist Church Wesley Center, 223 Jefferson St., Camden, Ark.
