Carroll Garvin, 85, resident of Jacksonville went to be home with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He was born September 13, 1930 in Bayo Meto, Arkansas to the late Earl and Alene Garvin. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and retired as a Sergeant with 28 years of service at the North Little Rock Police Department. He is survived by his brother, James "Big Mike" Garvin and wife, Jackie; son, Michael Garvin and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Jason Garvin and Courtney Brock; and the love of his life for 38 years, Norma Eldridge; her children, Mark, Staci and Chad and their children, Sydni, Drew, Mackie and Shelby. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 211 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery.
