Robert Young

Robert R. Young, 79, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016. He was born December 16, 1936 in Rye, Arkansas to Robert Rufus and Menrilee Reynolds Young. He was an Associate member of Levy Baptist Church and Union Methodist, past Grand Monarch of the Grottoes of North America, a 50 year member of the Masons and member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Hellen Young; son, Richard A. "Ricky" Young; daughter, Sharon and husband, Dr. Kenneth Duff; grandchildren, Stephanie (Michael) Jeffers and Dr. Kristen Carter; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Whitney Jeffers; sisters, Agnes Young and Martha Parker; and mother-in-law, Asilee Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Maurice Young, Johnny Young and Ben Young; and his sisters, Jeanette, Young, Geneva Young, Loree Young and Levita Young. Memorials may be made to Levy Baptist Church, 3501 Pike Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
