Robert Alan Almond

Robert Alan Almond of DeWitt, born November 5, 1954 in Wadena, Minn. went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 2, 2016. Robert Alan graduated from DeWitt High School and received multiple degrees in Instrument, Music and Voice from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He shared his talents in music teaching at Hermitage, Clarendon and Hazen public schools, as well playing piano and organ at numerous churches. Robert Alan was a retired music teacher and currently the organist at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Almond, brother, Terry Wayne Almond and grandparents, Cleta Almond Holbert, and Richard and Elna Seibert. Robert Alan is survived by his mother, Betty Seibert Almond of DeWitt, daughter, Shayna Almond of Little Rock, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 6th, at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Ethel, with burial at Big LaGrue Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home, DeWitt.
