Harlis Kenneth Camp, age 79 of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at his home. Mr. Camp was born September 11, 1936 in Stamps to Johnny and Velta Tatum Camp. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Stamps. Mr. Camp started C&C Packing in 1959. He was an auctioneer, rancher, Schaeffer Oil Sales Representative, and sheriff of Lafayette County. He was the past president of Stamps School Board and also past president of the Silver Spur Riding Club. Mr. Camp enjoyed raising exotic animals. Mr. Camp was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra Camp of Stamps, Ark.; three sons, Larry Camp and wife, Missy; Randy Camp and wife, Shelley; and Kenny Camp and wife, Carol all of Stamps; daughter, Kathy Sanders and husband, Joe also of Stamps; two brothers, David Camp and Jim Camp and wife, Joyce all of Stamps; two sisters, JoAnne Hicks of Texarkana, Texas and Jean McKelroy of Buckner, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Jason Sanders, Bryan Sanders, Mandy Hambrice, Garrett Camp, Reed Camp, Kaci Bennett, Cody Camp, and Haley Parsons; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Stamps with Bro. Mike Turner officiating and assisted by Bro. Tom Lofton. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Buckner, Ark. Pallbearers will be Butch Grimmett, Jerry Otwell, Peter Briggs, Curtis Treadway, Mike Rowe, and Brady Gore. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Minute Men Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, Ark.
