William C. "Bill" Minton Jr., 69, of Cabot, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. He was born October 5, 1946 to the late William C. Minton Sr., and Margaret Minton of St. Louis, Missouri. Bill was an avid outdoorsman. He especially loved duck hunting. He received the Eagle Scout award in 1962 and graduated from University High School in St. Louis. He was a 1969 Sigma Phi Epsilon graduate of Missouri State University in Springfield, formerly known as Southwest Missouri State University. After college, Bill joined the U.S. Navy and trained in Pensacola, Florida. He then began a realty construction development company, which he enjoyed working in until his retirement. He was also a member of Moose Lodge 942 in Sherwood, Arkansas. Bill was a great guy and all of his friends agree that he never let anyone down. He lived life to the fullest, and he will be greatly missed and thought of often. To live in the hearts of those left behind…..is to not die. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, John Robert Minton, of St. Louis, Missouri. He leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy Minton of Cabot; a daughter, Holly Minton of Cabot; a grandson, Chase Fielder and wife Kayla, of Beebe; a great-granddaughter, Madelyn Claire Fielder of Beebe; a sister, whom he loved dearly, Maggie MacFarlane of Denver, Colorado; two nephews, Sean and Patrick MacFarlane of Denver, Colorado; and a host of friends. The family would like to especially thank Arkansas Hospice for their excellent care. Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 7th at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.
