Lola Joiner

Lola Joiner, age 96, went to be with her Lord on May 5, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Joiner, her son Philip Joiner, her grandson Philip Wayne Joiner, and her granddaughter Kathleen Marie Watson. Lola is survived by her daughter Sue Spence (Jack) of Nashville, grandchildren Rob Spence of Allen, Texas, Kimberly Spence of Nederland, Colo., and her great-grandchildren Daniel and Katie Watson of San Antonio, Texas, Shea Spence of Allen, Texas, and Jack Spence of Beaufort, Ga., and her very special friends Lynda and Eva. Anything Lola pursued she gave her all. She worked many years at Hornibrooks Construction and Matson Construction in Little Rock Ark. She then went into real estate. Back then a million dollars was a lot of money. She wanted to be in the Million Dollar Sales Club and as she told her family she intended to be there her first year of selling real estate. She did sell a million dollars the first year (the fact she bought four houses to reach her goal helped). The family would like to express our gratitude to the nurses and caregivers over the eight years Lola was at the Meadows. She had devoted and compassionate care. To "Ms. Irma" a special thank you for the wonderful oatmeal. Memorial contributions may be made to Lakeshore Senior Communities (Meadows at Bellevue) and Alive Hospice. Memorial services are planned to be held at the Meadows Nursing Home. Plans are incomplete at this time. Online Guestbook at www.crawfordservices.com. CRAWFORD MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 615-254-8200.
