Edmund D. Langbein (Fast Eddie) passed away on 5/8/16 in WRMC. Born 2/24/47 to Lorene & Edmund H. Langbein in San Antonio, Texas. Ed's dad moved the family to NW Arkansas in the late 50's because he thought it to be a growing area. Eddie was a bachelor until he was 45 and married his wife Nancy who brought two grown children into the mix and soon he was a Paw Paw to 4 beautiful granddaughters. He thought the sun rose and set on the girls. Ed's greatest wish on earth was to be remembered as a good man which he accomplished naturally and with ease. He is survived by his wife, Nancy of the home, stepson, Sean Baker and his daughter, Hannah, stepdaughter, Amber Woods (Jeremy) and their three daughters, Savannah, Trinity and Lily. Sisters Lynette Shackleford (Don) of Springdale, Gail Rogers (Jim) of Jenks, Okla., mother-in-law, Betty Sam of Catoosa, Okla., many nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Ed also had two very special standard poodles that he took with him everywhere that will miss him very much! Eddie was a long haul truck driver that couldn't believe he got paid for driving the beautiful U.S.A. and listening to rock-n-roll. Ed encourgaged everyone to go see different parts of USA and visit our national parks. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Fayetteville Animal Shelter.
