Matthew Wayne Otto

Matthew Wayne (Matt) Otto of Jacksonville, Arkansas, died peacefully on May 9, 2016 at the age of 49. He fought his demons many times in his short life, but he lost his final battle. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Matt was fun at family gatherings and so happy to be there. His presence added something to the occasion. He thought of himself as a "writer in the making" and often jotted thoughts down and would say, "That's going in the Matt box". His kindness, humor, and dreams will all be missed. Survived by his parents, Gene and Betty Otto of Sherwood; brother, Mark Otto and nephew, Jacob Otto of Cabot; loving fiancé, Sharon Stiles of Hot Springs; special Aunt Cheryle, Rick, Jayson, and Taylor Alexander of Atkins; special Aunt Terry, Thomas, Moke and Missy Hooks of Auxvasse, Mo.; his spirit- lifting neighbor, Sue DeLao of Sherwood and many more dear family members and good friends. To his friends who know him best (you know who you are) Matt was a HARD worker, bless his heart, but he played even harder. Last, but not least, his long-time faithful companion, "Big G, Duh Big Boy, Pooter Head, Gasper" will always wonder when he's coming home. Our dear one, may you finally find some peace.
