Hazel Frances Bowen Smith, 82, of Hampton died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. She was born January 14, 1934 in Tinsman, Arkansas. Hazel worked at Calhoun County Bank for forty seven years retiring as Vice President and she was a member of First Assembly of God in Hampton. Hazel was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother and friend always giving and thinking of others. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester Bowen and Beatrice Strickland Bowen; one brother, Eugene Bowen; and one sister, Helen Bowen Mauldin. Hazel is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ted Smith of Hampton; four sons, Daney Smith of Hampton, Steve Smith of Hampton, Tim (Pam) Smith of Camden, and Dennis (Kim) Smith of Hampton; eight grandchildren, Charity Smith Dixon of Dallas, Texas, Bradley Smith of Texarkana, Texas, Ches Smith of Hampton, Jake Smith of Honolulu, Hawaii, Trent (Jerakaycia) Smith of Wichita, Kan., Stephanie Rainey of Moro Bay, Haley (Adam) Smith Lawson of Camden, and Lane Smith of Hampton; five great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends including special friend and neighbor, Martha Ray Bowen of Tinsman. Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God in Hampton with Rev. Rickey Smith and Rev.
