MARTIN M. LOGAN JR., 85, of Little Rock, passed away May 11, 2016. He was born September 2, 1930, in Warren, Ark. to Martin M. Logan Sr. and Inez Galloway Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joy Jean Logan, three sisters, Lorraine Pharez, Lucretia Cogbill, Lou Neal Hester, and brother, Bill Logan. Martin was an Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a school teacher in Little Rock and taught Industrial Education. Most of his teaching career was at Pulaski Heights and prior to his retirement at Metropolitan High School. He was affiliated with various Christian churches over the years. Martin was a nature lover, especially later in life, and loved outdoors and fishing. He is survived by his son, Steve Logan and wife Susan of Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Stephanie Logan of Roseville, Calif.; grandson, Chris Thornton of Little Rock; sister in law, Marilyn Logan of Little Rock; and by numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, from 1-2 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charities in support of veterans or police, fire, or military.
