Lacie Jones, Jr

Lacie Jones, Jr., 69, of Little Rock, Ark., was called to rest in his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at his home in Little Rock. He attended Scipio A. Jones High School in North Little Rock, Ark., where he graduated with the Class of '65. After high school he attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (AM&N). He then went on to pursue his career as a DJ working at several radio stations, and became most popular when working for KOKY 102.3 and Power 92.3, known as Doctor (Doc) Lacie Jones. He was heard and touched the hearts of many through his LOVE for music. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Ruth Jones; one daughter, LaQuanda Donahue Lott (Jonathan); two sons, Christopher Jones (Shanelle) and Aaron Jones; grandchildren, Destine, Jasmine, Jaymia, Jaemia and Jayla; mother, Ruthie Mae Jones; three brothers, Willie James Jones (Helen), Manual Bernard Jones (Fannie) and Carl Jones (Stephanie); and a host of nephews, nieces, cousin and friends. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016, 11 a.m., at King Solomon Baptist Church, 1304 N. Pine Street, NLR, AR. Interment will follow at Elmlawn Cemetery.
