Mary Alice Killion Percy, 92, of Helena, Ark. made her transition peacefully in her sleep on May 8, 2016. Mary confessed her hope in Jesus at an early age and was a member of Centennial M.B. Church and New Light M.B. Church. Mary became a member of Centennial M.B. Church where she sang in the choir. Her beautiful soprano voice got her invited to churches in the twin cities. Her favorite songs were "He Touched Me" and "His Eye is on the Sparrow." Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester Killion and Glennie Jones; her husband, Cleveland Percy; her oldest daughter, Gloria Camille Gakins Swain; and a sister, Bernalene Calbert. She leaves her legacy of love and kindness to four daughters: Deloris Percy-Herd of Seattle, Wash.; Juanita Nelson of Helena, Ark., Shirley Percy of Chicago, Ill.; Patricia Percy Banks of Little Rock, Ark.; and two sons: Cleveland Percy Jr. (Paula Clay) of Redding, Calif. and Roy Percy of Little Rock, Ark. She leaves 10 grandchildren: Valerie Cole, Steven Swain, Christopher Bland, Melvin Washington, Jr., Shelbra Watkins, Aneesha Nelson, Anthony Dixon, Barry Banks Jr., Dominique Percy and Joshua Percy. She also leaves siblings from the union of Sylvester and Lillian Killion; four brothers: Johnnie, Arthur, James and Charles Killion; and three sisters, Henrietta and Roma Killion and Juanita Williams; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at New Light M.B. Church, 522 Arkansas St., Helena, Ark. Rev. Edward Wade Jr. will officiate. Interment will be at Jackson Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Brown's Home for Funerals.
