John William Henry Sands

John William Henry Sands, 79, of Gravette, died Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. He was born Aug. 26, 1936; he was one of six children of John William Sands Jr. and Velma Zerelda Sands. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Lucille Sands whom he married in 1962; two sisters, Norma Templin and "Punk" Dora Faye Sands Rhoads. Survivors include two brothers and a sister: "Bub" Darrell Dean Sands of Kansas City, Tommy Eugene Sands of Lansing, Kan., and Effie Tate of Overland Park, Kan. and children: Wally Cochran, Lee and Barbara Cochran, Lori Klempnauer, all of Kansas City, Edna and Gene Mitchell of Arlington, Texas, Janie and Terry Melton of Tampa, Fla., Carolyn Young, Pammy and Kendall Harrelson of Gentry, Tammy and Tim Forman of Kansas, Okla.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
