Sammie Miller, 86, of Russellville, went home to be with his Lord, peacefully and surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his home. The son of Samuel and Nickless Kight Miller, he was born Jan. 20, 1930 in Albion, Okla. He was a 1949 graduate of Albion High School and received a Bachelor's degree in accounting from Arkansas Tech University. Sammie served in the United States Navy during the war in Korea. He was an accountant with EWI in Russellville for over 25 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Russellville where he had served on the board of Trustees. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Viola Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Lile Miller, widow of Jimmy Lile, The Arkansas Knife Smith, Russellville; daughter, Rowena Williams & husband, Jimmy, Mulberry; son, Dennis Miller & wife, Melissa, Albuquerque, N.M.; three grandchildren: Jason Barton, Kevin Miller and Kara Oliviera; four great-grandchildren; sister, Estelle Logan & husband, Bill, Poteau, Okla. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Mike Norberg will officiate. Burial with military honors will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
