Sargent Jack C. Cain died peacefully in Conyers, Ga. on May 20, 2016 at home with family. Sgt. Cain was born on January 31, 1932 in High Springs, Fla. to Frank Cain and Irene Witt. Jack was one of four children born to Frank and Irene. Jack attended elementary school in Louvale, GA and various places. He graduated from Pine Hill High School; there were only two graduates that year. In 1949 he joined the Army at age 17 and served his country for twenty one years. Jack worked in American Embassy's all over the world. He retired from the Army in 1970 and started his life in Little Rock, Ark. Jack worked for the state of Arkansas for over 20 years and retired. Jack was preceded in death by his older brother, F.H. Cain of Texas. He is survived by his two younger brothers, William L. Cain of Conyers, Ga. and Whitley A. Brown (Lucy) of Ocala, Fla. Left to cherish his memory are seven nieces and nephews and a host of great-nieces and nephews. Sgt. Jack C. Cain was also loved by many neighbors and friends in the Ponderosa Subdivision of Little Rock Arkansas where he resided for over 50 years. Jack enjoyed accounting and gardening. Jack was a kind gentle man that loved children and helped many people. Sgt. Jack C. Cain will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Rd. in North Little Rock. www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
