James Kenneth Lucas

James Kenneth "Kenny" Lucas of Bauxite, Arkansas was born July 31, 1951 at North Little Rock, the son of Charlie Maddox Lucas Jones and the late James Irish Lucas. He was of the Baptist faith, was retired from Windsor Door Company and was a church music director for over 20 years. Kenny was a gifted artist, who had a wide range of talents, including drawing, carpentry and certainly his gift for music. He also enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, and had a sharp intellect. Mr. Lucas died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his home at the age of 64. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, William H. Metcalf Jr. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Boling Lucas of Bauxite; sons, Tony Lucas of Benton, Jeremy Lucas of Little Rock; mother, Charlie Jones of Jacksonville; half-brother, Gary Metcalf of Redfield; half-sister, Vicki Roberts of Redfield; grandchildren, Kyla Lucas, Robert Greer, Kenzie Greer, Alyssa Lucas, Kennedy Lucas. He is also survived by a host of other family members and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Burial will be in Orion Cemetery, near Redfield. Visitation is Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan, (870) 942-1306.
