Jerry Smith

Jerry "Everette" Smith, 57, of Sherwood went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 22, 2016. He was born November 20, 1958 in Lake Providence, Louisiana. He attended Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene, and was a welder with Pinnacle Structures. Jerry adored his granddaughter, Parker, loved dancing, NASCAR, hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He is survived by his parents; Sammy "Gene" and Nelva Smith; two children, Jerry Bronson Smith (Lauren) and Lacey Janelle Smith; granddaughter, Parker Grace Smith; sister, Susan O'Kelley (Patrick); brother, Bryan Smith (Liz) and sister, Gina Flynn (Philip); and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Memorials may be made in Jerry's name to the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, Leukemia Dept. Attn: Helen Wall, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Unit 428, Houston, Texas 77030-9932. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday at Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene, Sherwood.
