Mary Jo "Baker" Blankenship, 79 of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016. She was born November 15, 1936 in Dyersburg, Tenn. to the late Joe and Margaret Eudaly Jowers. She was a protestant and was a healthcare administrator in the healthcare industry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, William Levi Baker, Sr. and Edwin Blankenship. She will be cremated, a memorial graveside service with inurnment of her ashes will be at Dunklin Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. She is survived by a daughter, Tresa Crutchfield and her husband Ron of Bartlett, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Cathy Manning of Rector, Ark. and Edwina Bradshaw of Heber Springs, Ark.; a son, Dr. Sean Baker and his wife Erica of Fort Smith; two stepsons, William Bruce Baker of Kennett, Mo. and Brett Nathaniel Baker of Jonesboro; a brother, The Reverend William T. Jowers of Dyersburg, Tenn.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
