Harold "Scott" Watson

Harold "Scott" Watson, 82, of Palm Desert and a long time resident of Montecito, California passed away April 29th, 2016 in Palm Desert. He was born July 16th, 1933 in Rogers, Arkansas to the late Cedric Harold Watson and Alta Elizabeth Scott Watson, He graduated from Rogers High School and the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Scott served as an Engineer in the U.S. Army, and enjoyed a multi decades long career as an engineering and marketing leader in the aerospace and defense industry. He was noted for his role as a principal systems engineering architect of the U.S. Army's Apache Helicopter, while an executive at Hughes Helicopters. Scott was a licensed instrument and commercial pilot, animal lover and avid golfer. He was a loyal friend, devoted husband and father. Scott was preceded in death by his beloved wife, and world traveling partner, of over 60 years, Sherryden Greene Watson. Scott is survived by his son Brian Watson of Los Angeles. Burial will be held in private at Rogers Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to ASPCA.org.
