Daniel Glenn Fields Sr., 62, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 in Tulsa, Okla. He leaves his wife of almost 40 years, Marsue Johnson Fields; his daughter, Courtney Fields Connelly, her husband Blake and their son, Elliot; his daughter, Meredith Fields Lawler, her husband Tyler and their sons Hank, Theo, and Vince; his son, Daniel Glenn Fields Jr.; and his brother, Brad fields and wife Karon. Dan also deeply loved his brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Becky Johnson, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Martha Fields; and his grandson, Silas Connelly. Dan was raised in Memphis, Tennessee and was a graduate of White Station High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Arkansas where he met Marsue and they both moved back to Memphis for Dan to attend Dental School at the University of Tennessee. Dan graduated from dental school and went on to a residency in oral surgery. Dan loved his family dearly and made sure they had many special memories together. He enjoyed serving others. He was part of many medical mission trips where he used his skills as an oral surgeon to relieve the suffering of others. He had a love of people and of life that radiated to all those who knew him. In recent years Dan and Marsue moved to Fayetteville where he was often able to cheer on the Razorbacks. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Dan and Marsue's church, Vintage Fellowship, by going to vintagefellowship.org or The SILAS Foundation through Grace Hospice Foundation by going to gracehospicefoundation.org. A visitation will be held on Friday June 3, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Grace Church of Northwest Arkansas and a memorial service on Saturday June 4, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with lunch to follow at the same location. The church's address is 2828 North Crossover Road in Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703. Dan will be greatly missed.
