How do you describe the life of a man? He is known not by the number of people he loved, but by the number of people who loved him. Curtis Boone, age 80, of Bryant, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 peacefully and surrounded by his family. A son of Frank and Maudie (Campbell) Boone, he was born Nov. 3, 1935 in Saline County, Ark. He was a 1951 graduate of Bryant High School. Mr. Boone was a member of the United Steel Workers Union and worked at ALCOA for 39 years. He was a Methodist and a yellow dog Democrat. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as brothers, Bill and identical twin, Coyce; a sister, Imogene Miller; sisters-in-law, Edna Lee Boone and Jane Schuhmacher; brother-in-law, James Adams; nephews Rick and Jacob Boone as well as a niece, Leslie Miller. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolann (Schuhmacher) Boone; daughter, Kathy of North Little Rock; son, Martin (Shannon) of East End; sister, Betty Jo Adams of Bryant; sister-in-law, Leta Boone; brothers-in-law, Holland Miller and John Schuhmacher; grandson, Brandon Felton of East End; a host of dearly loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great nephews and dearly loved friends. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31 at Bryant First United Methodist Church with services beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Bryant Cemetery.
