Jimmy Earl Rowe

Jimmy Earl Rowe, 70, of Stamps, Ark. passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016. He was born August 18, 1946, in Magnolia, Ark. to James and Elsie (Aldridge) Rowe. Jimmy graduated from Waldo High School in 1964 and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a rural mail carrier and owner of Jimmy's Drive-In, which he operated for 51 years. Jimmy never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He touched the lives of everyone he met, whether they lived on his mail route or visited him at the drive in. He is survived by his wife, Kaye; daughter, Courtney and her fiancé, Ross Nodurft of Washington DC; daughter, Kristen and her husband, Brooks Tune also of Washington DC; sister, Kathy and brother-in-law, Jon Baldwin of Waldo, Ark.; brother, John Rowe of Waldo, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at the Lafayette County High School Gymnasium with Mr. Tom Hooten officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
