Gladys Jackson Rollins, 93, of Sherwood passed away October 31st. Born on July 3, 1923 in Pettus, AR to parents Walter Jackson, Sr. and Allie Lee Jackson, she attended Lonoke High School. Gladys was a member of the Baring Cross Baptist Church since 1950. She loved to travel and took several European trips, she also played in the Baring Cross Ukele Band that toured the country. She also volunteered at the Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Walter Jr., Altha and Edward, life-long friend Mayselle Baxter as well as her husband of 60 years, George L. Rollins. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pat (Johnny) Guajardo, Sande (Jimmy) Young, Terry (Rita) Rollins and Jeff (Tonia) Rollins, grandchildren Annette Shook, Beth Fahr, Janie Childress, John Guajardo, Chad Young, Ryan Rollins, Megan Rollins, Christian Rollins, Victoria Rollins; great-grandchildren Drew, Grayson, Julia, Alex, Emily, Jacob, Ellie, Gracie, Abigayle, Nick, Lauren, Jordan, Jackson, Pearce, Cole, Stone and Cade; great-great-grandchild Tristin; sister, Clarice Fonville; brother, J.D. (Mary) Jackson and brother-in-law Byron Rollins. The family would like to thank special friends Beverly and Helen, Ava Young and Loyce Duke from Baring Cross Church for their steadfast friendship and a special thank-you to the staff of IRV, Hope Clinic and Hospice Home Care. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 3rd at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., NLR with burial immediately following at Oak Grove Cemetery in Austin, Ark.
