Lula Carolyn Davis Ward

Lula Carolyn Davis Ward, 76, loving mom and Nana of Jonesboro, formerly of Osceola, passed from this life in the arms of her children on Monday, October 31, 2016 in Jonesboro, Ark. She was born December 13, 1939 in Kentucky to Rev. Milledge David "M.D." Davis and Mae Gifford Davis. She was retired from American Greetings in Osceola after 41 years of service and of the Nazarene Faith. Survivors include two sons: Jason Ward (Brandon Sontag) of Little Rock, Ark. and Rickey Ward of Halls, Tenn.; three daughters: Lisa Gann (Keith) of Jonesboro, Brenda Griffin (Wesley) of Sheridan, Ark., and Barbara Furr of Cabot, Ark.; six grandchildren: Wendell Rackley, Jr., Logan Richard Keith Gann, Steve "Stevie" Gann, Stephanie Sawyer, Sheena Riney and Kipton Sontag; many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Bettye Davis Hall of Deland, Fla., Martha Davis Underwood of Pekin, Ill., and Brenda Davis Woodard of Kennett, Mo.; and sister-in-law, Virginia Bohannon Davis of Jonesboro. She is preceded in death by her parents; son: Fairlen Ward; brother: William "Buddy" Davis; and three sisters: Nelda Davis Cargill, Mildred Custer Davis, and Dotty Davis Horn. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Roller-Swift Funeral Home. Celebration Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2016 at Roller-Swift Funeral Home.
