Jonnie Elle Dearman Cooper, age 81, of Warren, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, Ark. She was born January 12, 1935 in Warren, Ark. to the late Fred Thomas Dearman and Edna Hunter Dearman. Jonnie was a retired accountant with Potlatch Lumber Company in Warren and was a very active member of First Baptist Church in Warren. She was the Adult IV Sunday School Director and a former President of the Warren Junior Auxiliary, Eastern Star and Warren PTA. She and Gary spent most of their retired time with their grandson going camping and following his swimming activities. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Pearl McKenzie. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Gary Cooper of Warren; one son, Jim Cooper and wife Dorothy of The Woodlands, Texas; one daughter, Cindy Cooper of Ft. Smith; one grandson, Tripp Cooper; one brother, Charles Fred Dearman Sr. of Monticello; one sister, Mary Heffner of Cabot; nephews and niece, Chris Reighard, Tommy Heffner, Chuck Dearman and David Dearman; step-grandchildren, David and Brandon Dunaway; and step-great grandchildren, Alexis, Nick, Klayton, and Katelynn Dunaway. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Warren, Ark. with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery in Monticello. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be given to Warren First Baptist Church, 310 South Main, Warren, Ark. 71671. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
