Robert Emmett McBride Jr.

Robert Emmett McBride Jr., 95, of Bella Vista, Ark. passed away Nov. 7, 2016. He was born in New Orleans, La., Feb. 9, 1921 to the late Robert and Rose McBride Studebaker. He proudly served in the Navy during the Pacific and Atlantic Theaters in World War II. Moved to Bella Vista from Chillicothe, Mo., in 1988. Robert enjoyed being a member of the Bella Vista Bicycle Club, was an avid golfer and a member of First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista where he recently completed his fourth Church Discipleship Program. He also was a former Mason and Shriner member. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Helen McBride; sons, Patrick McBride, Michael (Janene) McBride, Timothy McBride and Dan (Nancy) McBride; grandchildren Michele (fiancé Stacy), Jennifer (Shawn) and Mason (Gladys); six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and his niece, Sandy Gillespie. Memorial Services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m., Nov. 19 at First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista.
