Bud Holland was born June 2, 1939 to the late Walter and Elizabeth Holland in Dyess, Arkansas. He passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016. Bud never met a stranger and loved to hunt and fish. His great-grandbabies were the light of his life. He was a member of McArthur Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville. Bud worked many years and retired from Remington Arms Company. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Neil Mcdonald, Gerald Holland and Ulen Holland. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sammie Freeman Holland; three sons, Ronnie (Jackie), Kenny and Greg Holland, all of Cabot; five grandsons, Dr. R.J. Holland of Buffalo, New York, Joey Holland of Wichita, Kansas, Allen (Cherie) Kannon and Konner Holland all of Cabot; one brother, Wesley (Annie) Holland of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas; four sisters, Flora Thomason and twin sister, Mary (Terry) Chippeaux of Wichita, Kansas; and Shirley (Glenn) White of Harrison, Arkansas; and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11 a.m at McArthur Assembly of God in Jacksonville with Rev. Marc Bateman officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Holland Cemetery in Gravesville, at 2 p.m. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
