CHARLOTTE HICKERSON WHITE, of Jacksonville, passed away in Little Rock on Nov. 17, 2016 due to complications from the West Nile virus. Charlotte was born in Vienna, Austria on July 2, 1951 and spent most of her youth in Georgia. She attended high school in Kaiserslautern, Germany and religiously attended school reunions, keeping in touch with high school friends until her death. She graduated from high school in Junction City, Kan., in 1969 and from Kansas State University in 1974. She was married to Robert N. White from 1972 until 1994. In 1976, she went to work at the Little Rock Air Force Base and served as Director of the Community Center and Youth Center until 2014. She loved working with children and over her 38-year career she had a positive influence over the lives of many children with whom she stayed a friend and mentor. She was an avid fisherman from the time she was a little girl and she taught many children the joy of fishing. Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hickerson and is survived by her mother, Hedy Hickerson, her brother Tony Hickerson and his wife Susan, her niece Jessica Helton, her husband Jake and her grandnephew Jackson, all of Fayetteville. There will be a visitation at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, interment will be private.
