Charles "Chuck" Edward Farris Sr. went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, he was 64 years old. He was born in Little Rock on Aug. 23, 1952. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward L. and Helen L. Farris, and his son, "Chuck" Farris Jr. He leaves behind to share his life and legacy his wife of 46 years, Lowanna Fulton Farris; his daughter, Vicki L. Farris Stripling of Little Rock; a handful of family and a whole bunch of friends that became his family, especially his best grand buddies, Max and Edith (Sweet Pea) Caldwell. "Papa Chuck" loved hunting and fishing; loved plowing and planting his garden; Chuck loved tinkering with anything with a small engine; he most enjoyed a nice cool afternoon under the shade of his oak trees, finding some "dangerous adventure" for him and his Max to do. As his daughter Vicki said, "My father was a good man, an honest and fair man. He loved us and raised us to be hardworking and independent." To honor Chuck and his memory-teach a child to hunt, take a child fishing or teach a child how to turn a wrench. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 in the Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., prior to the service.
