Una Faye Cowan

Una Faye Cowan, age 90 of Morrilton passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016. She was born in Birdtown, Arkansas to Homer and Willie Chambers Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 64 years, Edwin Gerald Cowan; parents; stepmother, Lula O'Brien Wright; her brother, Glenn Wright; and sister, Marilyn Taylor. Mrs. Cowan was employed as a seamstress and also worked at Morrilton Plastics. She took great joy in taking care of her family, was an exceptional cook and an avid reader. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a sweet temperament and was the epitome of love and kindness. She was of the Baptist faith and a Christian. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Beazley (Brooks) of Maumelle; grandsons, Brent Beazley (Ashley) of Little Rock and Brad Beazley of Maumelle; and great-granddaughters, Campbell Beazley of Little Rock and Aidan Beazley of Chicago. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ravenel Wright of Morrilton; brother in law, Leonard Cowan of Scotts Valley, California; along with three nieces and their families; and special cousin, Frances Ruff. The family would like to extend their grateful appreciation to Dr. Robert Wilkerson, the staff of Perry County Nursing Center, and Kindred Hospice for the compassionate and loving care shown to Mrs. Cowan in her later years. A Celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesda, November 23rd at Harris Funeral Home with Ted Grove officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
