William Howard Lakin

William (Bill) Howard Lakin, 82, of Mabelvale, Ark. passed away November 18, 2016. He was born December 20, 1933 in Booneville, Ark. to the late Howard Roe and Lucinda Strickland Lakin. Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Virginia Lakin, Edward Lakin, and Maxene Sanders; his first wife, Emma Frances Smith Lakin; and his son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee and Cheryl Lakin. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 35 years, Louise Smith Lakin; his sons, Kent (Linda) Hardy, Jeff (Lisa) Lakin, Kevin (Deanna) Hardy, Mikey (Kari) Lakin; his daughters, Susan (Mark) Griffin, and Karen (Mike) Keys; his 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas, 501-445-1067.
