Patsy Ruth Clifton

Patsy Ruth Clifton, 87, of Clinton, Ark., was born near Poteau, Okla., on Sept. 1, 1929 to the late Dougls Newton and the late Dellie Eva McCormick Newton Eaton and passed from this life on Nov. 23, 2016 in Clinton. She was of the Assemblies of God faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Homer Eaton, her husband of almost 60 years, Roy Clifton, one son, Ron Clifton, one grandson, Bobby Clifton, one daughter-in-law, Barbara Clifton and one brother, Haskel Newton. Those left to cherish her memory include two sons; Ed Clifton (Donna) and Doug Clifton (Doris), both of Ft. Smith, Ark., two daughters; Vivian Ballance (Terry) of Colorado and Rebecca Merryman (Lonnie) of Clinton, Ark., many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. The family wishes to thank Ozark Health Nursing Center for their superb care of our loved one. A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
