Luther Wilburn Rodgers

Luther (Luke) W. Rodgers 71, of North Little Rock passed Thursday, November 24, 2016. He was born February 18, 1945, in Coy, Ark. to the late George and DeEsther Rodger Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, James and Arthur Rodgers. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Rodgers; two daughters, Monique Miller of Sherwood, Ark. and Shannon Rodgers of North Little Rock; five brothers, George (Gloria) Rodgers Jr. and Ralph (Janet Rodgers both of North Little Rock, Ark., Chester (Eva) Rodgers of Aurora, Ill., Homer (Allene) Rodgers of Gravel Ridge, Ark. and Will (Debra) Rodgers of Pine Bluff, Ark.; four sisters, Deola (Booker) Martin of Kerr, Ark., Equata Johnson of Aurora, Ill., Florene Thomas of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Rose (Ken) Jones of Sherwood, Ark.; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016, 11 a.m., at New Dora Baptist Church, 317 Jamison Ave., North Little Rock, AR.
