Peggy Jean Rodgers

Peggy Jean Rodgers, age 67 of Taylor, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016. Mrs. Rodgers was born July 14, 1949 in De Kalb, Texas. She enjoyed wood working, watching her grandchildren play softball and basketball, and shopping. She loved animals and enjoyed bird watching. Mrs. Rodgers was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Lewisville, Arkansas. Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her son, Nathan Christopher Rodgers; mother, Ruby Stow; father, Pete Barrett; brothers, Mark Douglas Barrett and Roger Paul Barrett; sister-in-law, Jayne Barrett; brother-in-law, Bruce M. Rodgers; niece, Jennifer Dayle Evans; father and mother-in-law, Rudolph and Margie Rodgers. She is survived by her husband, Richard Rudolph Rodgers of Taylor, Ark.; daughter, Julie Anne Boyett and husband, Lacy of Bussey, Ark.; sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Evans and husband, Jerry of Hope, Ark.; and Donna Lee and husband, Robert of Taylor, Ark.; grandsons, Ty Boyett and Barrett Boyett both of Bussey, Ark.; granddaughters, McKenzie Boyett and Scarlett Boyett both of Bussey, Ark.; brothers-in-law, Gordon Rodgers and wife, Kay of Willisville, Ark.; and Danny Rodgers and wife, Sandra of Hope, Ark.; special friend and caregiver, Darlene Scaife; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November, 29, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Ark. with Bro. Jerry Evans and Bro. Darvin Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Sharman Cemetery in Taylor, Ark. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
