Cynthia Ann Walsh

Cynthia A. (Stevener) Walsh passed away peacefully on Tuesday 15, November 2016 at Albany Medical Center from a brief illness surrounded by family. She was 65 years old. Cindy was born on January 30, 1951 in Schenectady, New York to Edward and Mary Stevener and had three siblings: Colonel (USAF retired) David Stevener of Bedford, N.H., Dr. Michael Stevener of Candia, N.H. and Elizabeth Zotto (Stevener) also of Bedford, New Hampshire Cindy graduated from Notre Dame High School, Hudson Valley Community College and Siena College. After graduating from college, she married Gregory Walsh of Watervliet, NY and moved to Florida. After living in Florida for a few years, Cindy moved to Springdale Arkansas and began working for Bruner and Lay, Inc. Brunner & Lay, Inc. manufactures pneumatic and hydraulic tool accessories for construction, mining, and demolition industries worldwide and the company's products are used in the construction of many highways, dams, and other major construction projects. Cindy was the head of the coast accounting branch within the Accounting Division and she worked there for over 30 years. Cindy loved going to garage sales, antique malls and any place else that had the potential for her to find the "junk" she so loved to collect. For many years, she sold her treasures on E-Bay and sprinkled them around to family members who were looking for that "eclectic look" that Cindy had an eye for when decorating their homes. She also loved keeping up her booth of collectibles at a local antique store/mall in Springdale and going to the Outback for Saturday night dinners. Cindy's husband, Greg predeceased her in 1981, as well as both of her parents, Mary and Edward. She is survived by her three her siblings from New Hampshire, six nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. A memorial service for family and friends was held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Gleason Funeral Home, 730 Union St, Schenectady New York.
