Paul Gregory Hannel, 69, of Maumelle, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2016. Paul was born November 6, 1946, in Ross, California to Bruce Hannel and Audrey Lofy Hannel. He was a supporter of The Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene in North Little Rock. Paul was a United States Air Force Flight Engineer for 20 years and a C-130 simulator and classroom instructor at Lockheed Martin for 28 years after his military retirement. Paul is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lun Chao Hannel. Survivors also include daughters; Vanessa Rachael Hannel Smith (Matthew Christian), Sabrina Hannel Mangum (Paul Dwayne), grandchildren; Nathaniel Paul Mangum, Nickolas Christian Smith, and Baylei Christian Smith and siblings; Alice Kattner, Elaine Thornton, Teri Hurt and other extended family. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Jerry Lynch and his stepfather, Ray Lynch. The family wants to extend a special thank you to his group of doctors and nurses at CHI St Vincent Little Rock and Carti Cancer Center. A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 6 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas. Committal service with full military honors will follow at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, at the funeral home.
