Margaret Dendy, born August 3, 1927, married February 23, 1945 to H.G. Dendy Jr., departed this earth for her heavenly home October 2, 2016. She was greeted in heaven by her husband, H.G. Dendy Jr., her parents, John White and Addie Kirby, and a host of other relatives and friends. She is survived by Noma Crolley (Carrol), Jerry Dendy (Peggy), Randy Dendy, Robert Bush, Michael Bush, Randi Seritt, Jonathan Dendy, Christopher Dendy and eight great-grandchildren. Margaret earned her well-deserved title of the "Cake Lady" while running her bakery, The Cottage Bake Shop, during the early ‘70's. She continued to be the "Cake Lady" until physical limitations stopped her a few years ago. Generations grew up enjoying Mrs. Dendy Cakes. She taught cake decorating on base and at Sylvan Hills High School. She was a member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church for years, but moved to Bayou Meto Baptist Church in recent years. Contributions in lieu of flowers to her church or to Arkansas Hospice are requested. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Bush, Michael Bush, Jonathan Dendy, Christopher Dendy, Jason Seritt, and Al Mayott. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home & Crematory (501) 982-2136.
